I’ve rewatched the ad at least three times to try and figure out why some folks are angry with it and I’m at a loss.
All I see here is: Be a better human. Set a better example. Encouraging
strength of character and integrity over typical “machismo”.
“How dare you suggest that men who behave badly should change their attitude and be better, you buncha SJW?”
Gillette: There is no excuse for men not to behave like decent human beings and it’s important to be a good person both for yourself and to set a good example for future generations
Whiny Misogynists On Twitter: HOW DARE U ATTACK ALL MEN LIKE THIS
Like
Newsflash
Any man who looks at this and thinks this advert is an “Attack on men” is 100% definitely a piece of shit…because literally the only things it is saying is that men shouldn’t bully, insult, sexually harass or generally be shitty to other people or ignore it when they see others doing it… and the only men who’d have an issue with an ad saying that was bad are the people who do all of the above
It’s rather telling, isn’t it?
And honestly kind of pathetic especially the person who thinks that the people who made this ad should be “Fired”…for what, saying misogyny and being horrible to people are BAD?

a good evolution
Memes have become so heavily context-dependent that they briefly spawned a side-phenomenon of corporations mistakenly assuming that the image combinations are simply random, and that “randomness” is what the new generation finds humorous, and then deliberately creating nonsense ads in a desperate attempt to appeal to the youth, which went on for several years before they finally started hiring younger social media managers.

Isn’t this what happened to Shakespeare
Future editions of AVPM will have a footnote explaining who Zac Efron was.

there is no such thing as a diet that is healthy for everyone
sorry, let me repeat that
there is no such thing as a diet that is healthy for everyone
and I mean none. not low carb, not low sodium, not veganism, not paleo, not even the classic “high amounts of fruits and veggies, low amounts of fat and sugar.” none.
you think dietitians get their degrees to give the exact same advice to everybody? fuck no. people’s bodies are different; their needs are different; the ways they process things are different. no diet is universally successful for that very reason.
are there diets that work for a lot of people? of course. are there diets that work for a statistically average person with few health concerns? sure. but is there a universal diet? that is a resounding “fuck no.”
